Intake 12 Foundation Marks 1st Anniversary with Fund Launch, Raises GHS 22,000 to Support Charity Work

The Intake 12 Foundation, established by the twelfth recruit intake of the Ghana Immigration Service, marked a major milestone on May 1, 2024, with its first anniversary celebration and official fund launch under the theme: “Celebrating a Year of Impact and Growth.”
The event, held at the Victory Presbyterian Church, Adenta Frafraha, raised approximately GHS 22,000.00 to support the Foundation’s community development and welfare programs.
Inspiring stakeholders with a strong message of hope and innovation, Guest Speaker Deputy Commissioner of Immigration (DCOI) Scholastica Afua Mensah congratulated the Foundation for its commendable initiative. She described the Foundation as a shining example of service-driven social impact and urged members to prioritize sustainability, structured leadership, and the smart use of crowdfunding and social media for growth.
Mr. Moses Biney, President of the Intake 12 Foundation, used the occasion to present three laptops donated by Patron Mr. Denis Kenzie Foli Nador to key committees to enhance the efficiency of their operations. He also led the presentation of certificates of recognition to several dedicated members who have played pivotal roles in advancing the Foundation’s mission.
The Foundation’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Prince Kwao Aboagye, recounted a range of charitable initiatives over the past year, including:
• Donation of sanitary pads to Pantang Hospital
• Support for sick members and bereaved families of deceased colleagues
• Collaborations with NGOs to extend aid to underprivileged communities
Mr. Denis Kenzie Foli Nador, Patron of the Foundation and Chairman of the newly launched fund, assured contributors of transparency, accountability, and judicious management of all donations. He called on the public and well-meaning individuals to continue supporting the Foundation’s goal of helping the underprivileged, building stronger communities and providing timely welfare support.
With the motto “Together for a Better World,” the Intake 12 Foundation—founded in 2024—aims to foster unity among its members while delivering impactful social interventions across Ghana. The Labour Day event has been hailed as a significant step toward institutionalizing sustainable community service within the Immigration Service fraternity. The celebration was brought to life with exhilarating performances by the Akuapem Melodic Choir and the Tower of Liberty Cultural Troupe, who thrilled the audience with inspiring music and vibrant cultural displays.
