NPP holds balloting for national executive positions ahead of Oct 3 conference – Full list of ballot positions
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) today held balloting for all aspirants contesting national executive positions ahead of its National Delegates Conference slated for October 3, 2026.
The balloting, held at the party’s headquarters in Accra, saw aspirants pick their positions on the ballot for nine positions. The party will elect new national executives to lead it into the 2028 general elections at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
For the key National Chairmanship slot, four persons are in the race. Former General Secretary John Boadu picked number 1, Sammy Crabbe picked number 2, former Chairman Paul Afoko picked number 3 and former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko picked number 4.
In the General Secretary race, four are contesting. Sylvester Tetteh picked number 1, Eugene Boakye Antwi picked 2, incumbent General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua picked number 3 and Dr. Charles Dwamena picked number 4.
The National Treasurer contest has four aspirants. Hajia Ruka Ahmed picked number 1, Alfred Kojo Thompson picked number 2, Tahiru Moomen picked number 3 and Collins Nuntwiri Nuamah picked number 4.
The most crowded race is the National Vice Chairmanship, with 13 aspirants. Former Information Minister Mustapha Hamid picked number 1, Kojo Bamba picked 2, George Kwabena Abankwa Yeboah picked 3, Richard Ahiagba picked 4, Masawood Mohammed picked 5, Oti Aboagye picked 6, Abena Pokuaah Amoah Boaitey picked 7, Obaa Yaa Amponsah Frimpong picked 8, Henry Nana Boakye picked 9, Horma Akesie Miezah picked 10, Sam Pyne picked 11, Nana Akomea picked 12 and Bright Essilfie picked 13.
For National Organizer, seven are contesting: Ing. Kwame Prempeh picked 1, Agyenim Boateng picked 2, Archibald Gamor Korletey picked 3, Nana K picked 4, Ali Maiga Halidu picked 5, Emmanuel Korsi Bordja picked 6 and former Tema East MP Daniel Nii Kwartey Titus Glover picked 7.
Six are vying for National Youth Organizer: Alfred Kumi Ababio picked 1, Vera Oye Bram picked 2, Michael Osei Boateng picked 3, Abanga Fuseini picked 4, Clement Opoku Gyamfi picked 5 and Chris Lloyd picked 6.
The National Women Organizer race will be a straight contest between Hajia Safia Mohammed who picked number 1 and former MP Mavis Hawa Koomson who picked number 2.
For Nasara Coordinator, five aspirants: Alhaji Ali Suraj picked 1, Isaka Muazo Kunata picked 2, Awal Mohammed picked 3, Alhaji Salim Bamba picked 4 and Razak Tahiru Maiga picked 5.
For National Communications Officer, Dennis Miracles Aboagye picked number 1 in a contest where he is going unopposed after balloting.
Party officials say all is now set for the October 3 polls, which is expected to attract over 5,000 delegates from across the country.
