I represent the bridge between the elderly & the new generation – Ing Kwabena Agyapong urges NPP delegates to choose him

Flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, has made a passionate appeal to party delegates, positioning himself as the ideal unifier to lead the party into the 2028 general elections.
Speaking on Kessben FM, Agyapong declared that he represents “the bridge between the elderly and the new generation,” and urged delegates to rally behind a candidacy rooted in experience, renewal, and generational balance.
“I am the bridge between the elderly and the new generation,” Agyapong said. “I understand the values, sacrifices, and history of our founding fathers, but I also connect with the energy, aspirations, and frustrations of today’s youth.”
As a former General Secretary of the NPP and a seasoned political figure who has been active in the party since its early days, Agyapong brings a unique blend of institutional knowledge and reformist zeal. His campaign has focused heavily on restoring discipline, grassroots empowerment, internal democracy, and moral leadership within the party.
He emphasized that his leadership would prioritize policy-driven politics over personality cults and material influence
Agyapong also spoke passionately about the importance of engaging young people in politics, not just as voters, but as active participants in leadership and policy-making.
He pledged to open more space for youth leadership within the NPP and the national political discourse, arguing that a future-focused party must reflect the demographics and digital mindset of modern Ghana.
