Business Is a Calling, Not a Side Hustle – Amanex CEO Rallies Entrepreneurs Behind 24-Hour Economy Drive

The Chief Executive Officer of Amanex Company Ltd, Rev. Eric Amanquanor, has urged entrepreneurs to treat business as a calling and not merely a means of survival, as he hosted a three-day Empowered Entrepreneur Forum aimed at advancing the government’s 24-hour economy agenda in the Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro Municipality.

The forum brought together business owners, community leaders and key stakeholders to explore practical business opportunities and strategies that can help entrepreneurs thrive under the emerging 24-hour economy framework.

Addressing participants, the Member of Parliament for Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro, Felix Akwetey Okle, highlighted government interventions designed to support businesses and create jobs.
He encouraged young entrepreneurs to take full advantage of opportunities being created through the 24-hour economy initiative, stressing that the policy has the potential to transform livelihoods and stimulate local economic growth.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Ga South, Moses Kabu Kubi Ocansey, also outlined efforts by the assembly to improve the business environment within the municipality.
According to him, ongoing road rehabilitation projects and measures to ensure a reliable power supply are intended to support companies operating under the 24-hour economy model and enhance productivity.

He further disclosed that the assembly has engaged existing companies in the municipality to secure employment opportunities for local residents and urged community members to position themselves to benefit from the available opportunities.

Speaking in an interview, Rev. Amanquanor challenged entrepreneurs and workers to remain committed to their ventures despite challenges.
“Business is a calling, so entrepreneurs must attach seriousness to it and persevere regardless of the obstacles they encounter,” he stated.
He further advised business owners and employees to abandon negative attitudes toward work and enterprise, stressing that such a mindset is necessary if Ghanaian businesses are to compete effectively with those in more developed economies.
The three-day forum forms part of broader efforts to deepen local participation in the government’s 24-hour economy policy and promote sustainable business growth through entrepreneurship, job creation and infrastructure development.
