Birim South: Kennedy Osei Nyarko Begins Distribution of 10,000 Exercise Books to Public JHS
Member of Parliament for Akim Swedru, Kennedy Osei Nyarko, has donated 10,000 branded exercise books to 22 public junior high schools (JHS) in the Birim South District of the Eastern Region.
The initiative forms part of the MP’s efforts to support education and provide learning materials to students across the district.
According to Mr. Osei Nyarko, he visited 10 of the 22 public schools in the district on the morning of the exercise and distributed thousands of exercise books to students in JHS 1, JHS 2 and JHS 3.
In a post on Facebook, the MP said he would visit the remaining schools to extend the same support to students.
“This morning I visited 10 out of the 22 public schools within my district and donated thousands of exercise books to JHS 1, 2 & 3. God willing I will visit the remaining schools with the same gesture. Education is my topmost priority,” he said.
The donation brings the total number of branded exercise books earmarked for distribution to public JHS across the Birim South District to 10,000.
The intervention is expected to provide some relief to students and parents by helping to address the need for basic learning materials in schools.
Mr. Osei Nyarko has reiterated his commitment to education, describing it as his “topmost priority” and indicating that he intends to extend the exercise to the remaining public schools in the district.
The initiative covers all 22 public junior high schools in the Birim South District, with students at the JHS 1, JHS 2 and JHS 3 levels being the beneficiaries.
