Intended National Honour For 48 Engineers Regiment Is Major Motivation For Public Servants – NHIA DCEO
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Anatu Anne Seidu Bogobiri Esq., has commended President John Dramani Mahama for his intended decision to honour the 48 Engineers Regiment of the Ghana Armed Forces.
President Mahama has indicated that he has given instructions for the Regiment to be considered for the Order of the Companion of the Volta at the next National Honours, in recognition of their outstanding role in works on the Accra-Kumasi Expressway.
In a statement issued on Monday, Madam Bogobiri described the intended honour as highly commendable and a major source of motivation for public servants.
“When this intended honour is conferred, it will be a highly commendable and motivating gesture. It will signal that dedication, technical excellence and selfless service to the nation are highly valued,” she said.
According to her, such recognition has the potential to inspire public servants across all sectors to give their unreserved best to Ghana.
“It sets a positive precedent that hard work in service of national development will be duly acknowledged,” she noted.
She thanked the President for the forward-looking decision and for his commitment to celebrating excellence in public service.
The 48 Engineers Regiment has been at the forefront of critical engineering works on the Accra-Kumasi Expressway, a strategic national project aimed at improving connectivity and boosting economic activities between the capital and the Ashanti Region.
