Kwadwo Agyei Yeboah, an NPP National Organizer Aspirant, has criticized the performance of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) while warning that attempts to scrap the office would be “disastrous.”

In a discussion on Kessben Maakye show, he insisted, he is not satisfied with the work of OSP, Yeboah stated, taking issue with recent operations by the office.

He singled out the arrest of Martin Kpebu as an example “I hated the manner in which he arrested Martin Kpebu, OSP’s security abused Martin woefully and he responded only for him to be arrested” he said.

Despite his dissatisfaction, Yeboah cautioned against abolishing the anti-graft office. _“It would be one of the most disastrous attempts to scrap the office of the OSP,”_ he warned.

Instead, he called for a change in leadership: _“They can change Kissi Agyabeng because he is just wasting our time and resources.”_ He added.

He emphasized that, NDC want to remove Kissi Agyabeng but is afraid hence the attempt to strip its prosecutoral powers.

Yeboah alleged political motives behind the NDC’s posture toward the OSP. _“NDC is afraid of OSP investigating into their scandals,”_ he claimed. “NDC is not resetting Ghana but re-robbing and re-capturing.” Yeboah accused.

He also weighed in on business dealings linked to the presidency and emphasized, the President should have advised his brother Ibrahim Mahama to desist from bidding the Damang Mines because of conflict of interest,”_ Yeboah said.

The Office of the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyabeng, and the Presidency have not yet responded to Yeboah’s remarks.
