Kotoko hit six past Victory Stars in downpour-delayed friendly
Asante Kotoko’s second pre-season friendly with Tamale-based second division side Victory Stars which was initially reported to have been called off due to heavy downpour went ahead late Tuesday afternoon.
The Porcupine Warriors proved too strong for Victory Stars on the rained-soaked Tamale Utrecht Academy training field hitting six goals past the side.
Kotoko’s starting line-up featured two new signings; goalkeeper Eric Ofori-Antwi and attacker Abdul Latif Amadu, while former Hearts of Oak attacking midfielder who last played for Amidaus Professionals, James Bissue, was also handed a start.
Abdul Latif Amadu, Obed Owusu [came on as a substitute] as well as trialist Akwasi Adu were on the score-sheet while Abeiku Ainooson, Richard Mpong and Godfred Asante completed the resounding win for the Ghanaian Champions.
The Kotoko team is scheduled to return to training on Wednesday morning.
