Aspiring National Organizer of the NPP, Nana Kwadwo Agyei Yeboah, has called for firm but lawful handling of corruption-related cases, stressing that justice must not be compromised by haste or political pressure.
In a statement issued on Kessben Maakye show, Yeboah maintained that allegations of corruption must be thoroughly investigated and, where evidence exists, prosecuted without fear or favor.
However, he emphasized that the principle of innocence until proven guilty must remain central in all proceedings.
“Every suspect is not guilty until proven otherwise, and many of such cases are bailable under the law,” he noted, cautioning against public judgments that may undermine judicial fairness.
He added that if individuals mentioned in ongoing corruption discussions are indeed found culpable through due legal processes, they must face prosecution accordingly.
Yeboah also advised Raymond Archer, the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) boss, to exercise caution in handling corruption-related matters, urging professionalism and adherence to due process.
In a broader reflection on governance and accountability, he warned political actors to be mindful of their actions while in power.
“Whatever measure you use to treat others today shall be used against you tomorrow for accountability when you lose power,” he stated.
His remarks come amid heightened national discourse on corruption, accountability, and the role of state institutions in ensuring justice.
