Edem wins Best International Act – Africa at Canadian Awards
Ghanaian rapper Edem has won the Best International Act – Africa at 2015 Black Canadian Awards.
The ‘Koene’ hit singer beat Mafikizolo (South Africa), Yemi Alade (Nigeria), Davido (Nigeria), Eddy Kenzo (Uganda), Oritse Femi (Nigeria), and Teeyah (Ivory Coast) to win the award.
The rapper thanked God and Ghanaians for their support which he said helped him emerge victorious at the event.

The star-studded awards night at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Toronto, Canada, Saturday night witnessed exciting performances from Leila Dey, Lisa Banton, Lorraine Scott and Jay Harmony and a host of others.
Edem continues to reap the fruits of his enormously successful album, ‘Books & Rhymes’. He is adding the Black Canadian Awards trophy to those he bagged at the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The album won him ‘Album of the Year’, ‘Afro-Pop Song of the Year’ and ‘Best Music Video of the Year’ at the April 11 awards at the Accra International Conference Centre.
