
Perfect Star Media production has successfully organized the third edition of its flagship academic competition, the Perfect Series Basic Schools Assessment Competition, bringing together some of Ghana’s basic schools in Greater Accra on a thrilling battle of intellect and academic excellence.
The critical thinking examination competition, hosted at Accra Academy, featured participation from leading schools including Mamprobi Salvation Army basic schools “A” and “B”,Bishop Bowers – Lartehbiorkorshie, Good Sherpherd Methodist School -Ablekuma, St. Theresa’s – North Kaneshie, New Hope School- Korle-Bu, Ideal Community school-North Kaneshie, Abossey Okai Angelican “B”, and Shalom Angels Montessori -Oblogo.
According to the organizers, the competition was designed to identify and nurture outstanding intelligence, aptitude, and critical thinking abilities while also promoting healthy academic rivalry among participating schools.
The lead examiner, Mr. Martin Opoku noted that the initiative seeks to contribute to the development of the country’s educational sector by encouraging students to sharpen their critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
The organizers further emphasized that education remains a key driver of national development and that competitions of this nature help build the confidence and academic capabilities of young people.
At the end of the contest, learners from Shalom Angels Montessori School and Abossey Okai Angelican. “B” School were evicted from reaching the semi-final, earning stationary for their participation and academic prowess.
Organizers expressed gratitude to participating schools, teachers, and supporters, pledging to expand future editions of the competition to reach more students across the country.
Speaking to a facilitator from Mamprobi Salvation Army basic school “B”, Miss Florence Amisah, she expressed her enthusiasm, insisting that the exercise has been a healthy competition and enhanced teaching and learning procedures.
She added that preparation of the learners before the contest was stressful but worthy. She advised parents to be mindful of their wards education and purchase textbooks for them to help their studies.
The event has been hailed as another significant step toward promoting academic excellence and nurturing the next generation of leaders in Ghana.
