NPP National Youth Organiser aspirant, Abanga Fusani Yakubu, has pledged to unite all facets of the youth setup within the New Patriotic Party and to resource youth programs and projects across the country.
Speaking after filing his nomination to contest the NPP October 3 National Delegates Conference slated for Kumasi, Fuseini delivered a fiery message that the NPP youth must be prepared to defend and reclaim power.
“The NDC cannot arm-twist us for power,” he declared.
TESCON Delegates Conference To Be Key Fixture
Fuseini said if elected, he will elevate TESCON and institutionalize its national engagement.
He pledged to make the TESCON National Delegates Conference a key fixture on the party’s calendar, ensuring student leaders have a permanent voice in decision-making.
“My leadership will ensure unity across every facet of the youth setup within the party. We cannot go into 2028 as a divided front. TESCON is the intellectual engine of this party and its national conference must be a key fixture when I am elected. The youth are the engine of this party and the engine must work as one,” he stated.
Resourcing Youth Programs
The aspirant also lamented what he described as under-resourcing of youth activities in recent years and vowed to change the narrative.
“I will resource youth programs and projects across the country. TESCON needs support, constituency youth organisers need logistics, and regional youth wings need empowerment to work. We will not run the youth wing on empty promises,” he assured.
According to him, a well-resourced and motivated youth wing is non-negotiable for the NPP’s comeback strategy for the 2028 general elections.
A Battle Cry For 2028
Abanga Fuseini urged the student wing to be vigilant and assertive in defending the party’s record and ideology on campuses and in communities.
“We have the ideas, we have the numbers, we have the spirit. No one can intimidate us out of power or out of our future. We will organise, we will mobilise, and we will win.”
