I will bring on board George Afriyie – Kurt Okraku
Kurt Edwin Simeone Okraku, the president of the Ghana Football Association, has pledged to forge a road between himself and disqualified presidential candidate George Akwasi Afriyie.
The President-elect made a lighthearted reference to the former GFA Vice President in his acceptance speech at the GFA Extraordinary Congress to elect executives to manage the country’s football for the next four years, saying that he will depend on him in the future.
Kurt received 117 out of 120 to be retained and he has promised to get in touch with George Afriyie to address all disputes for the benefit of Ghanaian football.
“We are one people. My message to George is” Medeama” (meaning my brother). I’ll bring back George to football, ” Kurt said.
The GFA Elections Committee found that George Afriyie had broken the rules and regulations and was therefore ineligible to run in the GFA Elections.
