Kessben Outreach Foundation donates to Woman who poisoned herself & children due to hardship

A Ghanaian woman who lives at Tema Jerusalem number two (2) in the Greater Accra region identified as Auntie Ama has narrated her journey of life from pain to pain. In an interview with Kessben Outreach Foundation, she explained that she is a single mother of two with one granddaughter.

Auntie Ama, the widower stated that she was downhearted when she got to know that her first child (son) was born deaf and dumb at the age of two (2).
“Generally, children begin to babble from around the age of six months and say their first words between ten and 15 months. most start speaking at about 12 months then begin to pick up increasing numbers of words and start to combine them into simple sentences after around 18 months but my son was not showing any sign of that sort” She said.

She revealed that, despite the hopes given to her by the doctors, her son could not speak to date. “I sent my son to the Mampong school for the deaf and dump along the line, he became blind and could not see again.

Auntie Ama disclosed that life knocked her down when she gave birth to her secondborn and realized she was mentally ill and lost her husband due to workplace hazards.


‘My mentally daughter got impregnated by an unknown man when she left home for days’

She noted that, starving is her best friend because they could not afford what to eat on a daily basis.
She disclosed that, she consulted a friend to help her with a poison that can kill mice very fast.

‘I poisoned my children due to hard hardship because we mostly sleep on an empty stomach but they vomited everything out. I was surprised to see them alive”

Kessben outreach foundation upon hearing this sad story of Auntie Ama, donated an amount of 3,000ghc with clothes, food items and so many things. Kessben outreach foundation also took it upon themselves to sponsor her grandchild’s school fees.

Auntie Ama thanked Kessben outreach foundation for its kind gesture.
