‘He Can Play, Invite Him’- Frimpong Manso calls for Hearts Oak Mohammed Alhassan’s Inclusion in the Black Stars
Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach, Frimpong Manso is urging the handlers of the senior national football team to invite Hearts of Oak’s defender Mohammed Alhassan to the Black Stars.
It has been a norm for local footballers in Ghana to be invited to the Black Stars only to sit on the bench without having any significant minutes of play.
The former footballer reckons a major contributing factor to the unfortunate is the lack of confidence the coaches have in these local players.
Frimpong Manso is convinced Mohammed Alhassan can command a regular play in the Black Stars team.
“Some of the local players can play in the Black Stars but is rather unfortunate that they are only invited to train with the team and sit at the bench. It is about courage, and Accra Hearts of Oak’s Mohammed Alhassan for instance can play in the team looking at our defence” He said.
