Let’s not rush local players into the Black Stars because they play for Kotoko or Hearts, Let local players grow through the system – Andy Kerm

Sports analyst Andy Kerm has cautioned against rushing local footballers into the Black Stars simply because they are performing for prominent Ghanaian clubs such as Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.

Speaking on Kessben Sports, Kerm said promising local players should be given time to develop properly and progress through the various stages of the football system before being considered for the senior national team.

“Let’s not rush the local players into the Black Stars because they are playing for Kotoko or Hearts. Let’s grow them and let them go through the system,” he said.

Kerm stressed the importance of allowing young players to gain experience and develop their abilities before making the step up to the national team.
