Asante Kotoko set to part ways with assistant coach Johnson Smith

Kumasi-based Asante Kotoko SC is set to part ways with assistant coach Johnson Smith after a two-year stint.

Meaning the club will pay him until the end of his contract.”

“Coach Smith made few requests that were agreed by the club including supporting him to upgrade his license in an upcoming next GFA refresher course.”

The ex-Kotoko player was named interim head coach of the club in December 2020 before the appointment of Portuguese trainer Mariano Barreto substantively. Marvin David Ocloo and John Eduafo have been appointed to be the first and second assistants’ to new head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum.
