For one year now, division one referees and referees for the FA Cup have not even received 1 cedi – RAG Chairman, George Saijah

Referees Association of Ghana (RAG) George Saijah, has raised concerns over the financial challenges facing referees officiating in Ghana’s lower divisions.
Speaking on Kessben TV, Saijah claimed that Division referees and referees for the FA Cup have not received even one cedi in payments for the past year.
“For one year now, Division referees have not received not even one cedi,” he said, highlighting what he described as a serious concern for officials who continue to perform their duties.
Saijah’s comments have renewed attention on the welfare of referees in the lower divisions and the need for timely payment of officiating allowances.
The situation, if unresolved, could further affect the morale and welfare of referees who play an important role in the administration of football in the country.
