B.A.R. concert saturday E.L leads hot hip-hop stars
Leading record label and event organizing company, BBnZ has confirmed all is set for the 2015 edition of Ghana’s biggest hip hop gig, ‘The B.A.R. Concert’, scheduled for this Saturday August 29.
Rap artiste and music producer, E.L, is the headline artiste for the show which would have performances from a top array of musicians including the good old Reggie Rockstone, Pappy Kojo, Joey B, C-Real, Kumasi Ko-Jo Cue, Lil Shaker, Gemini, Mzvee, Stargo, Dex Kwesi, Jayso, Recognize Ali and several others.
Venue is the World Trade Center in Accra opposite the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park adjacent the National Theater. Tickets are fast selling at all Tigo stores and offices across the capital city.
Apart from performances from the big names in music now, Saturday’s concert would give hip-hop artistes in Ghana a platform to be recognized.
The concert is also to give an opportunity to as many hip-hop artistes as possible, both known and underground to have a stage to shine.
The concept would be back-to-back uninterrupted performances with very few pauses in between.
“B. A. R. means Best African Rapper. I consider myself to be the best African rapper taking into consideration a lot of things. But if I say it, it would be like I am blowing my horns. So when people ask me why I am saying that, I just direct them to my mix tapes. They should just listen to my mix tapes and 99 percent of the times, they concede to the fact that I might just be the best African rapper,” E.L asserts.
“So at the end of the day, this is not just a statement I am making because statements can be wrong. This is not a claim I am making; it is just something I know about myself. And there is no other side to truth. This is truth and I am saying it,” he added.
E.L has already released a mix tape for Saturday’s concert and it is fast becoming the talk of the town.
It has 17 tracks including an intro and featured some of Ghana’s finest hip hop dons.
Reliable telecommunications company, Tigo, is the title sponsor for the 2015 B.A.R. Concert which is heavily supported by Guinness.
