Baba Yara Sports Stadium media officer and Kessben FM/TV’s sports commentator Kwaku Ahenkorah has been appointed Secretary and Public Relations Officer for Asante Kotoko’s recently formed Africa committee.
Premier League champions Asante Kotoko set up the adhoc committee to oversee the activities of the club in this year’s CAF Champions League.
The Committee, which had its first meeting in Kumasi on Wednesday, will be chaired by Alhaji Abu Lamin. Other members of the committee include the general manager of the club, Opoku Nti; George Kennedy who is the operations manager of the club, former player Prince Polley, Dr. Kwaku Ofori and head coach of the club, Mas-Ud Dramani.
The committee has put together a provisional budget of US$400,000 which is expected to cover all the costs incurred by the club in the competition.
The Porcupine Warriors were expected to meet Sierra Leone champions East End Lions, but reports indicate the Freetown-based club has pulled out of the competition.
