Amos Frimpong calls on Kotoko fans to help beat and eliminate Hearts on Sunday
Former Asante Kotoko captain, Amos Frimpong, has called on the fans of his former club Asante Kotoko to rally their support for his new club as they face off with Ghanaian champions Accra Hearts of oak on Sunday.
Hearts of Oak will kick off their champions league campaign at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday against Guinean side FC Kamsar in a single tie game on Sunday, 19th September 2021.
The game was to be played in two legs but due to the political unrest in Guinea, the first leg which was scheduled to have taken place in Guinea last week was called off.
The former Kotoko defender has been calling for support from Hearts of Oak’s bitterest rivals, Asante Kotoko fans ahead of the game. “Right now, everything is back to normal in Guinea but is rather unfortunate the first leg had to be called off. Initially, when the coupé happened it brought some fears but things are now OK. We’re going to sell a very good football on Sunday at the Accra sports stadium.”
”We are going to ensure that we progress. I know a lot of Kotoko fans will support us. I’m urging them to come support us so that we will beat them(Hearts of Oak) and qualify to the next stage of the Champions league” Frimpong said on Extra time on Kessben FM.
The former Kotoko defender has an experience in African club competitions with Asante Kotoko in recent years. Amos played for Techiman Eleven Wonders until he recently joined the Guinean champions.
