World Cup Visa Fraud: USA allocated 50 media slots, but only 2 actual journalists went with that allocation – Vincent Assafuah reveals

Old Tafo MP and member of Parliament’s Select Committee, Hon. Vincent Assafuah, has raised concerns over the number of media personnel who travelled to the United States under a media allocation for Ghana’s World Cup delegation.

According to Hon. Assafuah, the US Embassy allocated 50 slots for media personnel, but only two media representatives eventually travelled using the slots.

He made the claim while discussing the ongoing controversy surrounding Ghana’s visa arrangements and the list submitted by the relevant authorities.

Hon. Assafuah said the discrepancy raises questions about how the media slots were allocated and who benefited from them.

He called for greater transparency and accountability in the handling of the visa and delegation arrangements.
