Ghana Strengthens Diplomatic Ties with Suriname as Ambassador Presents Credentials

In a significant move to bolster diplomatic relations between Ghana and Suriname, Ghana’s Ambassador to Brazil, with concurrent accreditation to 11 other countries, Nii Amasah Namoale, officially presented his credentials to the President of Suriname, Jennifer Geerlings-Simons, on Tuesday, 17 March.

The brief ceremony, held at the presidential office in Paramaribo, formally recognised Ambassador Namoale as Ghana’s representative to Suriname, paving the way for strengthened diplomatic relations between the two countries. Presenting the letters of credence, Ambassador Namoale reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, and cultural exchange.

During the meeting, Ambassador Namoale expressed Ghana’s desire to enhance collaboration with Suriname, particularly within the broader framework of South-South cooperation.
