Trade Minister Charges Delegation to Shine at Burkina Faso Investment Forum

The Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, has charged the Ghanaian delegation led by her Deputy Minister, Hon. Sampson Ahi who are participating in the maiden edition of the International Forum “Invest in Burkina Faso” (FIIBF) to represent the country with excellence and seize every opportunity to promote Ghana’s trade and investment potential.

Speaking during a pre-departure engagement with the delegation in Accra on Monday, 6th October, 2025, Hon. Ofosu-Adjare expressed Ghana’s strong commitment to strengthening regional cooperation and fostering business collaboration across West Africa. She encouraged members of the delegation to actively engage, showcase Ghanaian products, and build meaningful partnerships that will yield long-term benefits for both countries.

“Our business community is eager to participate in this forum, not only to exhibit our products but also to deepen engagement beyond this event,” she stated, urging them to project Ghana’s values, innovation, resilience, and enterprise.

On his part, the Ambassador of Burkina Faso to Ghana expressed appreciation for Ghana’s active participation in the forum, noting that the presence of the Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Sampson Ahi, and other members of the delegation was going to be a great honor. He emphasized that Ghana’s involvement demonstrates its continued commitment to regional integration and the shared vision for sustainable development within the sub-region.

The Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Sampson Ahi, is leading the Ghanaian delegation to the inaugural FIIBF, scheduled to take place from 9th to 10th October 2025 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

Organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Craft of Burkina Faso, the forum brings together government leaders, investors, and private sector representatives to explore opportunities for deepening trade and economic cooperation across the sub-region.

A high-level meeting between the Head of State and investors will also be held as part of the forum to highlight Burkina Faso’s development priorities and promote investment opportunities.

Ghana’s participation in FIIBF underscores the government’s commitment to fostering partnerships that attract investment, create jobs, and expand opportunities for Ghanaian businesses within the West African market and beyond.

The event is expected to serve as a unique platform for sharing expertise, networking, and showcasing incentives and reforms designed to promote investment and collaboration among national and international stakeholders.
