NIA Makes History at GhanaFest 2026, Issues 122 Ghana Cards in just three days for Ghanaians abroad

The National Identification Authority (NIA) successfully issued 122 Ghana Cards in just three days, making the outreach one of the most successful diaspora registration exercises to date.
To appreciate the significance of this achievement, a similar NIA exercise in Spain reportedly issued only 40 Ghana Cards over an entire week.
Beyond the numbers are hundreds of Ghanaians who finally received an essential national document after years of waiting.
The exercise demonstrated the growing importance of GhanaFest as a platform not only for celebrating culture but also for delivering meaningful services to the Ghanaian diaspora
