Parade of Chiefs Becomes the Heartbeat of GhanaFest 2026

One of the most unforgettable moments of GhanaFest 2026 was the colorful Parade of Chiefs and Traditional Rulers.

Dressed in magnificent kente cloth, adorned with traditional regalia and accompanied by the sounds of fontomfrom drums, kete rhythms, and indigenous musical ensembles, the chiefs made a grand entrance that captivated thousands of festival patrons.

The defining moment came when each chief warmly embraced the other in succession before the cheering crowd. It was more than a ceremonial greeting. It was a powerful symbol of unity, peace, mutual respect, and togetherness among Ghana’s diverse traditional institutions.

The procession reminded everyone that although Ghana is blessed with many ethnic groups and cultures, we remain one people united by one heritage and one destiny.

For many young people born abroad, it was a living lesson in culture, leadership, and national pride.
