Young Commons Forum President hails Minority Leader’s support at UPSA inauguration

The President of the Young Commons Forum (YCF) at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Osborn Nyantakyi, has lauded the Minority Leader of Parliament, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, for his immense support during the inauguration of the forum’s new executives.
Addressing the gathering shortly after being sworn in on Wednesday 17, 2025, Mr. Nyantakyi expressed deep gratitude for the trust and confidence reposed in the newly appointed leadership. “On behalf of the newly appointed executive, I am deeply honored by the trust you have given us to lead this forum. Your confidence inspires us and we do not take this responsibility lightly. We cherish it a lot,” he said.
He particularly acknowledged the Minority Leader and the Faculty of Accounting and Finance at UPSA for making the inauguration possible, describing their support as a vital foundation for the success of the forum. “We wish to express our sincere gratitude to the honorable Minority Leader and the Faculty of Accounting and Finance for granting us this immense opportunity,” he noted.
Collectiveness
The YCF President emphasized that leadership was not about positions or titles but about collective responsibility and service. “Today is not just about titles or positions. It’s about our shared commitment to lift, to collaborate and to work tirelessly so that together we can shape a future that reflects our highest hopes,” he stated.
Looking ahead, Mr. Nyantakyi pledged that the new executives would focus on inclusivity, innovation, and collaboration in discharging their duties. “We will strive to build bridges, to bring fresh ideas and create a forum where every voice matters. Together we can achieve,” he assured.
