New Young Commons Forum executives promise fresh ideas and inclusive leadership

The newly inaugurated executives of the Young Commons Forum (YCF) at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), have pledged to bring fresh ideas and foster inclusive leadership as they begin their mandate.

Speaking on behalf of the new leadership shortly after the Minority Leader inaugurated the Forum on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, YCF President Osborn Nyantakyi expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in them by students and stakeholders.

“On behalf of the newly appointed executive, I am deeply honored by the trust you have given us to lead this forum. Your confidence inspires us, and we do not take this responsibility lightly. We cherish it a lot,” he said.

Commendation

Mr. Nyantakyi commended the Minority Leader of Parliament, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, as well as the Faculty of Accounting and Finance at UPSA, for their support in making the inauguration possible. He noted that the ceremony was not merely about holding titles or positions but about renewing a collective commitment to hard work, collaboration, and service.

“Today is not just about titles or positions. It’s about our shared commitment to lift, to collaborate, and to work tirelessly so that together we can shape a future that reflects our highest hopes,” he remarked.

The YCF President emphasized the need for the forum to serve as a platform that promotes inclusivity, innovation, and unity among students. “We will strive to build bridges, to bring fresh ideas, and create a forum where every voice matters. Together we can achieve,” he assured.
