The Controller and Accountant-General, Mr Kwasi Agyei, has been honoured as the Best-Performing Head of Department for the 2025 Performance Year at the 2025 Civil Service Awards Ceremony.
The ceremony was held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Alisa Hotel in Accra, bringing together Directors and Heads of Departments under the Ministry of Finance to recognise outstanding performance and commitment to public service.
Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang was Present at the ceremony and handed over the awards to various winners.
Mr Kwasi Agyei, Controller and Accountant-General of the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD), received the award in recognition of his performance and leadership during the 2025 performance year.
The award highlights the contribution of the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department to the effective management of public financial administration and the delivery of key government financial services.
The Civil Service organised awards as part of efforts to recognise excellence, accountability, professionalism and improved performance within the public sector.
