If NPP wants to return to power, We must end Internal bitterness & division – David Kankam Boadu

David Kankam Boadu, a prominent figure and national chairman aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has issued a strong call to unity within the party.

Speaking on Kessben Maakye with Kojo Preko Dankwah, Kankam Boadu emphasized that the only path back to power in the 2028 general elections lies in healing the party’s internal wounds and putting an end to the persistent bitterness, division, and infighting that have plagued the NPP in recent years.

“If NPP we want to come back to power, we should stop the unnecessary internal bitterness, division, and hate within the party,” Kankam Boadu stated firmly during the broadcast, drawing attention to what he believes is the root cause of the party’s recent political setbacks.

The NPP, which lost the 2024 general elections to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has since been grappling with internal strife, blame games, and factionalism. Many party faithful have raised concerns about the growing disconnect between grassroots members and the party leadership.

He urged the leadership and rank-and-file members to recommit to the core principles of the NPP: democracy, development, and service to the people. According to him, unity must not be a slogan, but a deliberate strategy anchored in mutual respect, transparent communication, and a shared vision.”
