Ghana Gold Board Denounces Social media Misinformation

The Ghana GoldBod has strongly condemned a recent wave of false information circulating on social media platforms, calling the claims “nothing more than the work of propagandists.”

In a statement urgent released on Friday August 1,2025 by Prince Kwame Minkah, media relations officer, Ghana Gold Board emphasized the fabricated nature of the claims, stating, “We want to make it unequivocally clear that this information is false. As a committed and responsible entity in the good trading sector, we pride ourselves on transparency and integrity.”

The organization urged the public to exercise caution, advising citizens to “treat this fake news with the contempt it deserves” and to refrain from further sharing of the misleading content.

“We encourage everyone to rely on official communication from Ghana Goldbod for accurate and timely information, reaffirming the board’s commitment to maintaining its reputation and serving its stakeholders.

The board remains dedicated to upholding the highest standards in its operations and has called on the public to be vigilant against misinformation.
