I go to nightclubs to win souls, not just to chill – Top Ghanaian Pastor Eagle Prophet reveals

Reindolph Oduro Gyebi, popularly known as Eagle Prophet, the General Overseer of God’s Crown Chapel, has explained why he goes to the nightclub.
Speaking with Quoo Fante on Kessben FM, the outspoken prophet revealed that his presence in nightclubs isn’t merely for leisure or entertainment, it’s a strategic mission field for soul-winning.
“I don’t just go to the club to chill. I go there to win souls for Christ,” Eagle Prophet declared.
The statement, which sparked a mix of curiosity and controversy among listeners and social media users, reflects Eagle Prophet’s unique approach to evangelism. Known for his fiery prophecies and unorthodox methods, the prophet believes that the church must step beyond its traditional boundaries if it truly wants to reach the lost.
According to Eagle Prophet, the club is one of the places where people who are far from God can be found, and therefore, it is a strategic place for ministry.
He explained that many people who frequent nightlife scenes are often dealing with deep personal struggles, addictions, depression, heartbreak, and more, but are simply looking for a momentary escape. In such environments, he says, a timely message of hope or a personal encounter can transform a life.
Social media has been abuzz with reactions following his statement. While some Ghanaians commend Eagle Prophet for daring to meet people where they are, others question whether such spaces are appropriate for a man of God.
One commenter on Facebook wrote:
“Evangelism must go where the sinners are. Not everyone will come to church, and the club might be the only place they can meet someone like him.”
Another disagreed:
“The club is no place for a prophet. The Bible says we should not be unequally yoked or found in the company of the ungodly unless we are led by the Spirit with clear direction.”
