Club owners, fans, and managements of clubs need serious education – Sports  Minister, Kofi Adams reacts to “We must at all means win at home attitude in Ghana Premier League”

In the wake of Nations FC’s recent boycott of their Ghana Premier League match against Baseke Holy Stars, Sports Minister Kofi Adams has called for a comprehensive educational initiative targeting club owners, fans, and management.

The incident, which saw Nations FC refuse to take the field due to alleged poor officiating, has highlighted underlying issues within the league that require urgent attention.

Minister Adams emphasized the necessity of educating all stakeholders involved in the sport. He pointed out that club owners sometimes contribute to hooliganism and other negative behaviors.

The Minister also addressed the broader issue of hooliganism in Ghanaian football. He highlighted the tragic incident in Nsuatre, where an Asante Kotoko fan was killed during a match against Nsoatreman, as a stark example of the consequences of unchecked violence. Minister Adams emphasized that such acts deter potential investors and sponsors
