USA Visa List Controversy: Sports Minister must also be sacked – Hon Vincent Assafuah
Old Tafo Member of Parliament and Minority member, Hon. Vincent Assafuah, has called for the removal of Sports Minister Kofi Adams over the controversy surrounding the list of individuals submitted for visas ahead of the USA World Cup.
Speaking on Kessben Sports, Hon. Asafu alleged that the Sports Minister added about 90 names to the list submitted by the National Sports Authority (NSA) for visa processing.
According to him, the NSA boss should not be held solely responsible for the controversy if the allegation about the additional names is established.
He argued that responsibility should extend to the Sports Minister, insisting that Kofi Adams should also be sanctioned or removed from office.
“You cannot implicate the NSA boss alone; the Sports Minister should also be sacked,” Hon. Asafu said.
His comments come amid discussions over the controversial visa list and calls for accountability over how the names were compiled and submitted.
