Otumfuo Osei Tutu II adopts the children of the late Pooley into his educational fund – Kotoko IMC Chairman officially informs Pooley’s family
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, has officially adopted the children of the late Pooley into his educational fund.
The late Pooley, a passionate Asante Kotoko fan known for his love for Kotoko, tragically passed away in Nsoatre after he was stabbed, leaving behind a family that now faces the challenges of growing up without their father. In an effort to alleviate some of these challenges, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has decided to ensure that the children of Pooley will not have to worry about their education, thus providing them with an opportunity for a brighter future.
The announcement of this adoption was made public through a message delivered to the family by the Chairman of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s Interim Management Committee (IMC), Nana Akwasi Awuah.
“The Asantehene has taken a personal interest in the welfare of your children,” Nana Awuah said, as he reassured the family that the children will receive full financial support for their education and their upbringing through the Asantehene’s educational fund
The news of this adoption has brought immense joy and relief to the family of the late Pooley, who had feared that their children might face insurmountable challenges in completing their education after the loss of their father. With the Otumfuo’s support, they can now look forward to a future where educational opportunities are not limited by financial constraints.
