The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is scheduled to meet with the management and supporters of Asante Kotoko tomorrow, Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in Kumasi. This meeting follows the tragic death of a Kotoko fan, Francis Frimpong, affectionately known as Pooley, during a match against Nsoatreman FC in Nsoatre.

On February 2, 2025, during a Ghana Premier League match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko at Nana Koromansah Park in Nsoatre, violence erupted, leading to the fatal stabbing of Francis Frimpong, a dedicated Kotoko supporter. The incident has raised significant concerns about fan safety and the prevalence of hooliganism in Ghanaian football.

All Ghana Premier League games have been suspended to allow for a thorough investigation and to address the underlying issues contributing to fan violence.

The meeting is to Provide a platform for Kotoko management and supporters to express their concerns and perspectives regarding the incident.
