Boko Haram gives SA 24-hour deadline to stop xenophobic attacks

Boko Haram has released a tape stating that they are giving South African government 24 hours within which to make the xenophobic attacks come to an end.
If South African government does not contain the situation they will execute all South Africans living in Nigeria, Chad, Niger and other surrounding countries, even the South African embassies in the African countries.
Ashanti Regional Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) president said the current xenophobic attacks in South Africa were “an insult to former president Nelson Mandela”.
Speaking on Kessben Television’s Adeakye Abia, Listowel Yesu Bukarson said: “When you take a critical look at the history of South Africa and the efforts Mandela made to make the southern African country a safe dwelling place for all people, you will totally condemn thess happenings”.
Mr Bukarson expressed shock at the incident and condemned it, describing the act as racial and barbaric and called for international interventions.
He also lauded warnings from Boko Haram to the South Africans though he did not support the existence of the terrorist group.
Four people have been killed and shops owned by immigrants burnt and looted in the latest wave of violence in South Africa’s coastal city of Durban.
Those killed include an Ethiopian, whose shop was petrol bombed, and two South Africans.
More than 1,000 foreign nationals living in South Africa have fled their homes.The violence has been triggered by South Africans who perceive foreigners to be taking jobs that they feel they should have.
Thousands of people have marched in Durban to protest against the violence.
