Akufo-Addo replaces JFK with Jubilee House staff as YEA boss
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has finally appointed a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) to replace Justin Kodua Frimpong.
By a letter dated Tuesday, August 9, President Akufo-Addo appoints a Deputy Director of Communications at the Jubilee House, Kofi Baah Agyepong, to act as YEA’s CEO.
Mr Agyepong, therefore, replaces the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who resigned to contest the position.
JFK, as Mr Frimpong is affectionately called, was successful in his bid.
His replacement, Mr Agyepong, takes office with effect from Wednesday, August 10.
The appointment is in accordance with Section 12(1) of the Youth Employment Agency Act, 2015 (Act 887), pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the governing board of the Agency, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
“I take this opportunity to congratulate you formally on your appointment,” the letter written by Nana Asante Bediatuo, the Secretary to the President, said.
“Kindly indicate your acceptance or otherwise of this appointment within 14 days of receipt of this letter.”
