No Region Will Be Neglected Over Voting Choices – Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to fair and balanced development across all regions of Ghana, insisting that no area will be sidelined based on its political leanings.

The President made these remarks on Thursday, July 16, at a sod-cutting ceremony marking the start of construction on a 24-Hour Economy Market at Juapong in the Volta Region.

Addressing concerns that some parts of the country have historically received less developmental attention due to their voting history, Mahama emphasized that his administration operates on the principle of equal opportunity for all citizens, irrespective of geography or political inclination. He noted that his government does not see the Volta Region simply as a stronghold of political support, and made clear that no part of Ghana would be neglected or taken for granted because of how its people vote. He added that his mandate is to serve every Ghanaian, and that his commitment to the Volta Region rests on principles of fairness and equity.

The Juapong market project forms part of a wider government initiative aimed at driving trade, generating employment, and extending commercial activity beyond regular business hours in major economic centers.
