Nayt Consult, Govt Sign MOU to Create Legal Jobs for Ghanaian Youth in Germany
New partnership targets youth unemployment with language training, visas, and 2-year support for workers abroad

Nayt Consult Limited, an international recruitment agency, will on the 15th of this month (July 2026) formally launch a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations and the Ministry for Youth Development and Empowerment to create legal employment pathways for young Ghanaians in Germany.
The announcement was made by the Managing Director of Nayt Consult Ltd, Mr. Agyenna Kesse-Tachi.
According to Mr. Kesse-Tachi, the initiative is aimed at tackling Ghana’s high youth unemployment by providing structured, legal avenues for skilled young people to live and work in Germany.
“With the median age of the Ghanaian youth around 22, it means the majority of our population is 22 years or below. That calls for serious employment avenues for them,” he said. “As a company, we are stepping in to bridge that gap.”
Four Years of Impact
Nayt Consult says it has already been operating the program for the past four years. In that period, over 30 Ghanaians have secured jobs and are currently living and working in Germany, with about 80 more in the pipeline.
Beyond recruitment, the company facilitates visa processing and provides support and monitoring for beneficiaries for up to two years after they arrive in Germany.
Mr. Kesse-Tachi noted that beyond helping individuals, the program is also a major benefit to Ghana’s economy through remittances.
“If you follow the trajectory of remittances for the past few years, you know that it’s even doing better than our traditional exports like cocoa. If this receives support from government and policy leaders, and we are able to sanitize this environment and do this well, it will help the country and ultimately make us a leader in terms of remittances,” he stated.
How the Partnership Will Work
The MOU launch will set up two key structures:
1. A Steering Committee – Made up of the two sector ministers, their top officials, and Nayt Consult management. It will provide oversight for the entire program.
2. A Working Committee – Comprised of staff from the two ministries and Nayt Consult. This team will handle day-to-day operations including German language training, examinations, job contracts, work permits, travel facilitation, and monitoring of workers in Germany.
Mr. Kesse-Tachi clarified that recruitment has not stopped. “The process has already begun. The launch is only setting up the steering and working committees. The train will continue as it has always been.”
Who Can Apply
To qualify for the program, applicants must have a minimum academic qualification of SSSCE/WASSCE, and it goes up to degree and masters level.
A key requirement is willingness to learn the German language, as language proficiency tied to academic qualification is what secures work opportunities in Germany.
To make language learning accessible, Nayt Consult has established a language center in Accra and has signed MOUs with several tertiary institutions to set up centers across the country. These include:
– Takoradi Technical University
– Sunyani Technical University
– Koforidua Technical University
– University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani
“Once you have the language and we attach your academic qualification, then we get you a job in Germany. We handle your work permit, apply for your visa, and then you’re on your way,” Mr. Kesse-Tachi explained.
He urged young Ghanaians to take advantage of the opportunity while it lasts.
“This project presents a very valuable and legal opportunity for young people, and they should seize it. These opportunities are not there indefinitely. They are there as long as the window remains open.”
The launch of the MOU is expected to formalize government backing for the program and expand access to more youth across Ghana.
