“Mobilizing Women for Victory: NPP Women’s Wing Begins Nationwide Tour”
The National Women’s Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has begun a nationwide campaign to mobilise women across the country to support the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to win the upcoming election.
The campaign kicked off over the weekend in the Bono Region. Obaatampa Kate Gyamfua, the National Women’s Organizer, met with all constituency women executives and their deputies in Sunyani, the regional capital.
She emphasised the need for them to lead women’s campaigns in their respective constituencies.
Additionally, she met with other identifiable groups, including women farmers, female artisans, hairdressers, and other groups. She also interacted with women traders in selected market centres in the region, and engaged with the media.
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, running mate to Dr. Bawumia, who was in the region, joined the women’s wing briefly at some of the engagements before continuing with his own rounds.
The women’s wing believes that the NPP is the only party that has the welfare of Ghanaian women at heart, as evident in the party’s women-centric policies and initiatives over the years.
