It’s a huge plus that 5.7 million Ghanaian youth have benefited from Akuffo-Addo’s Free SHS – Kofi Tontoh
The political aide to Bawumia, Kofi Tontoh says it’s commendable that 5.7 million Ghanaian youth have benefited from Akuffo Addo’s free Senior High School (SHS) education policy.
He made this statement on the Maakye program hosted by Mr. Kwabena Owusu Dankwa on Kessben FM, on July 24, 2024.
During the program, the host mentioned that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) had criticized the finance minister’s mid-year budget, calling it a total flaw.
In response, Kofi Tontoh said, “If the NDC is saying the budget was a total flaw, one thing Ghanaians should take notice of what the finance minister said, if not for anything, is that 5.7 million Ghanaian youth have benefited from Akuffo-Addo’s free SHS.”
He further emphasized, “If 5.7 million Ghanaian youth have been educated under the Akuffo Addo-led government, then this speaks well of the country’s future. This shows that in 60 years’ time, 5.7 million youth who benefited from free education will become 40 million to educate others too.”
