Referee Kala has been maligning me on air because he wanted the late Atifu to occupy my current position – GFA’s Referee Manager Alex Kotei
Head of Referees at the Ghana Football Association, Rt Referee Alex Kotei claims Rt Referee Owusu Mensah Kala has been a staunch critic of him because he was vying for the late Rt Referee Atifu to become to Referees Manager at the Ghana Football Association which in the end he (Alex Kotei) was appointed.
The GFA Referees Manager speaking in an interview with Kessben TV’s Tony Muntana expressed dissatisfaction over how Rt Referee Kala has been lambasting him over the years since he was appointed the Referee Manager of the GFA.
According to him, he has no personnel issues with Kala but the latter begun hit hard at him and his works since the late Atifu’s bid to become the Referee manager did not materialize.
“Eric was vying for the late Atifu to be appointed the the head of Referees now known as the Referees manager. We all went to interview and I got the opportunity.
Since then Eric has been maligning me on air. I don’t have any issues with him. I told him 3 times that anytime you want to go on air and talk about issues relating the GFA and Referees he should call me first and discuss but no” He said.
