Following the revelation of Ghana’s budget for AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast, many Ghanaians have been reacting with dismay.
According to a document leaked by a Ghanaian MP, Okudzeto Ablakwa the GFA and Sports Ministry allegedly budgeted $8.5m for the AFCON 2023 which has a winning prize money of $7m.

Kessben Sports pundit, Peter Newton Lartey reacting to the revelations stressed that Ghana has lost its priority by now being money-centered.
Newton lamented that after the Anas expose in 2018, Ghana football has sunk deeper following the wrong measures that were taken.
According to him, the Normalization Committee that was brought to restructure Ghana’s football had no clue about the game resulting in Ghana’s football being today state.
