Dangote attributes Ghana’s economic recovery to confidence in Mahama

President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, says renewed investor confidence in President John Dramani Mahama’s leadership has contributed significantly to Ghana’s economic recovery.
Speaking at the Accra Reset on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly on Monday, September 21, Mr Dangote said the government’s approach had helped restore confidence among investors and strengthened trust in the Ghanaian economy.
According to him, the economic turnaround was not the result of extraordinary measures but rather the government’s efforts to make decisions that rebuild investor confidence.
He explained that Ghana’s experience demonstrates the strong connection between leadership credibility, investor confidence and the movement of capital.
“Money follows trust,” Mr Dangote said, emphasising that confidence in the country’s leadership was a key factor behind the improvement in Ghana’s economic fortunes.
