If decoders had CD ROMs, Kumawood wouldn’t have collapsed – Kwaku Manu (Video)

Ghanaian actor Kwaku Manu reckons the influx of decoders in Ghana collapsed the movie industry, particularly the Kumawood movie industry years ago.

Speaking on Kessben TV’s Music Plus with Mr. BoneZ, Kwaku explained that the collapse of the Kumawood industry was not due to bad production from the producers.

According to him, during the influx of the decoders, many people got access to TV stations that repeatedly were showing their movies, killing the interest of the people to buy VCDs.

He stressed that if the importers of the decoders had been smarter to have sought decoders with VCD ROMs, people would still be buying the VCDs to watch their movies on the decoders.

As part of reviving the movie industry, Kwaku Manu has produced a new movie, WHO IS YOUR GUY, which is scheduled to be premiered in Kumasi, at the SG mall on 1st September 2023.
