I Will Block Your Convoy Anytime You Use Dawhenya-Afienya Stretch Of The Road; Sam George Threatens Pres. Akufo-Addo

The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ningo – Prampram Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Samuel Nartey George has expressed frustration over the bad deadly state of the Dawhenya-Afienya stretch.
The Outspoken Law Maker disclosed that the bad state of the road has brought a negative effect on the good people of the area for years.
The MP weeped over the poor state of the road whilst addressing journalists and some community members at a health screening exercise organised by the Dzata Foundation for the good people of Afienya over the weekend.
Thousand of community members benefited from the free health screening exercise by the Dzata Foundation during the day.
He further asserted that several pregnant women have lost their babies due to the bad nature of the road whilst travelling to nearby health centres for delivery.
According to him he has made several efforts through the Minister for Roads and Transports and the Minister for Finance in ensuring that the road was fixed for years but to no avail.
“With the bad state of the road. I want to find out from President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the people of Dawhenya and Afienya are not tax payers of this country and therefore do not deserve a good road as other Ghanaians” he asked.
He appealed to the roads minister to consider the rehabilitation of the Dawhenya -Afienya stretch because it has deteriorated so much and thus become a death trap.
“I want the minister to pay immediate attention to our bridge and the road because it is an emergency road, so the community members of the area would be relieved,” he said.
For his part the Chief Executive Officer of the the Dzata Foundation, Mrs.Vera George, stated that the brain behind the exercise was to ensure a good health for the people of Afienya and its environs.
She disclosed that one of the priorities of the Dzata Foundation was to render good health supports to people within the Ningo-Prampram Constituency and beyond.
The Foundation, Mrs. George said was established some few years ago to impact lives and assured that it has come to stay to ensure that the lives of people were impacted for the benefit of the country.
She called on other organizations and individuals to support the Dzata Foundation to help it deliver to the good people of Ghana.
