No one hates you, your good work can’t be sustained with your disconnect with the BoD – Jerome Otchere
Former Editor of the Asante Kotoko Newspaper, Jerome Otchere has said that there is a disconnect between the Nana Yaw Amponsah led Management and BoD of Kumasi Asante Kotoko headed by Dr Kwame Kyei.
According to the experienced journalist, the friction between the management and the BoD of the club has been the major cause of internal problems at the Kumasi-based football club.
Speaking with Joe Laka on Kessben FM’s Final Whistle Sports show, Jerome noted that he has no time to hate pointing out the very basic problems at the club which has been a long canker repeatedly over the years destabilizing the club when things are going the right direction.
“There is a problem with the composition of the BoD. There’s a disconnect between the Management and the BoD of the club which ought to be resolved once and for all.
What happened with the resignation of the coach was bound to happen because of the issues going on at the club. Someone was definitely going to resign.
What is going on at the club is common in every institution. But is time to resolve it once and for all. There’s no peace. Everything has a limit. And if they don’t do things right. It will crash.
For what the BoD did that’s what I was looking out for. Management should understand. Irrespective of their work, they’re doing fantastic work. But behind the good work, if there are wrangling, the good works can’t be sustained” He said
“I don’t have to like Nana Yaw Amponsah. It’s the work that you doing. There are structural defects that should be dealt with so the good work will be sustained.
We have better things to do, we don’t waste time hating. Nana Yaw needs basic fundamental support to sustain his good works. The structural defects ought to be dealt with” Jerome Otchere concluded
