Oduro Sarfo says there is nothing wrong with the timing of GFA’s verdict on Ashgold’s demotion (Video)
Ghana Football Association Executive committee member, Nana Oduro Sarfo has stated that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the timing of the GFA decision to demote Ashgold SC to the division 2 league.
With barely six games to end the Ghana premier league season, the football association released their verdict on the 7-0 win Ashgold SC recorded over Inter Allies in the 2020-21 Ghana premier league.
The Obuasi based football club was found guilty of match manipulation by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association. The FA stressed that the decision takes effect at the end of the season.
Many have opined that the timing of the verdict by the football association was wrong because the league is still ongoing and that the remaining games of the Obuasi based football club could as well be manipulated due to the fact that they have already been demoted.
Oduro Sarfo however disagrees, according to him, it is just the right time to come out with such a verdict because with such a decision, Ashgold can have ample time to appeal and exhaust all processes.
