BREAKING NEWS: Akuapem Poloo goes back to jail
Ghanaian actress Rosemond Brown aka Akuapen Polo will go back to the Nsawam prison to serve her remaining jail term.
The High Court after ruling on her appeal has stated that since she did not serve all her days at Nsawam prison, she should go back and serve it immediately.
This was after the high court ruled on the case on Wednesday morning.
The Criminal Division of the court presided over by Justice Ruby Aryeetey upheld the Circuit court decision on grounds that the Circuit court’s decision was not manifestly excessive.
“This court will not interfere and the appeal is therefore dismissed,” Justice Aryee said.
The court said that in the absence of the convict, Akuapem Poloo’s child should be given to any competent person in the family to take care of.
Akuapem Poloo in April 2021 was sentenced to 90 days in jail by the Accra Circuit Court for indecent exposure after uploading semi nudes pictures with her son on social media.
